Come along to our friendly enrolment day at Room 2, Kirkwall Community Centre!
You’ll get the chance to meet the tutors, try out an instrument, and find out more about our fun and welcoming classes. Whether you're a complete beginner or have been playing for a while, we’d love to see you there! All abilities welcome.
County Show 2025
OTMP is going to the county show
We are very excited to have a tent at the County Show this year. We will have live music, a raffle, nail in the bale and more! Come along for a chat to find out more about OTMP or just to listen to our fabulous musicians. We will also have some fiddles and accordions available to try! It would be lovely to see you there.
OTMP Summer school 2025
We are very excited to announce that booking for OTMP Summer School is OPEN! Four days of music making in a fun and relaxed atmosphere with amazing visiting and local tutors. Open to anyone who plays fiddle or accordion of all ages. The week ends with a fabulous concert to showcase the learning.

Term 1 (Autumn 2024)
Orkney Traditional Music Project term 1 starts on 31st August 2024 and bookings can be made online now.
The fees remain the same as last year. We fundraise throughout the year to keep costs as low as possible. Last year we were successful with funding from Cooke Aquaculture, and we hope that they will continue to support OTMP again this year.
➡️ School children: £40 per term for first child in family
➡️ School children: £20 per term for beginner accordion (half hour weekly class)
➡️ Adults: £60 per term
